The Federal Ministry of Works (FMW) is the government agency in charge of Nigeria’s federal roads, bridges, and key infrastructure. This is a nationwide recruitment and capacity-building program.
The initiative is launched in favor of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and the main goal is to absorb unemployed graduates and skilled artisans, strengthen technical manpower, and support the execution of major infrastructure projects across the country.
The Federal Ministry of Works Recruitment thereby offers selected participants structured training, professional mentorship, temporary engagement, and practical exposure on active federal construction sites.
All beneficiaries will be able to work directly with contractors handling Federal Ministry of Works projects. Beneficiaries will be able to gain real-world experience and, at the same time, contribute to national development.

Under the Capacity Building and On-Site Training Programme, unemployed graduate engineers will be deployed to ongoing Federal Ministry of Works projects within or close to their local government areas. The engagement focuses on hands-on field training and professional development.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens between 18 and 35 years old
- Hold a BSc, BEng, BA, or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Be unemployed at the time of application
- Possess an NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate

Participants and employees engaged by the Federal Ministry of Works operate within a structured and professional work environment.
Salary follows the Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS), with entry-level pay aligned to the approved national minimum wage as applicable in late 2024 and early 2025.
