The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has opened applications for the position of Director, Finance and Corporate Services, inviting highly qualified Nigerian professionals to take up a senior leadership role within the agency.

LSETF was founded in 2016 and it serves as a major driver of job creation, entrepreneurship financing, and economic empowerment in Lagos State.

According to the official notice, the Director, Finance and Corporate Services will play a strategic role in steering the Fund’s financial direction, supervising corporate services, and ensuring strict compliance with public sector regulations and best practices. The appointment is a full-time role based in Lagos and is aimed at experienced professionals with a strong background in finance, governance, and institutional leadership.

Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) Director Core Responsibilities 

The role covers three critical functional areas:

1. Financial Management and Strategy

The Director will be responsible for shaping LSETF’s financial strategy, preparing annual budgets, and aligning financial plans with organizational goals. Duties also include overseeing financial reporting in line with IFRS or IPSAS standards, managing treasury and cash flow, approving expenditures, and engaging with stakeholders such as government agencies, donors, and the Board.

2. Information Technology Oversight

On the technology side, the successful candidate will guide IT planning and digital transformation initiatives. This includes supervising CRM development, managing the Programme Application Portal, implementing an enterprise-wide ERP system, and strengthening IT infrastructure to support operational efficiency and long-term growth.

3. Procurement and Regulatory Compliance

The Director will also oversee procurement activities, ensuring adherence to public procurement laws and internal controls. Responsibilities span vendor management, contract negotiations, documentation processes, and continuous improvement of procurement systems.

Eligibility Requirements

LSETF has outlined strict qualification criteria for the role. Applicants must possess:

  • A First Degree or HND (minimum of Lower Credit)
  • A recognized professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, CFA, or CIMA)
  • At least 12 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS or IPSAS
  • A valid NYSC discharge certificate
  • Experience in social-impact or non-profit organizations (an added advantage)

The Fund is seeking candidates with demonstrated leadership capacity, sound financial judgment, strategic insight, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
