Niger Delta University Available Academic Positions
Applications are invited for Assistant Lecturer and Lecturer II positions in the following faculties:
- Faculty of Agriculture
- Faculty of Arts
- Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences
- Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
- Faculty of Clinical Sciences
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Environmental Sciences
- Faculty of Management Sciences
- Faculty of Nursing
- Faculty of Pharmacy
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Social Sciences
Each faculty has multiple programmes covering Engineering, Medical Sciences, Environmental Studies, Education, Management Sciences, and Social Sciences, among others.
Requirements for Academic Staff
A. Assistant Lecturer
Applicants must:
- Possess a good first degree (minimum of Second Class Lower) plus a Master’s degree, OR
- Hold a Master’s degree with professional registration
- Be registered on Google Scholar
B. Lecturer II
Applicants must:
- Possess a PhD from a recognised university, OR
- Hold a Master’s degree with at least one journal publication
- Have a minimum of three (3) years pre-teaching experience
- Be registered on Google Scholar
Note: Additional professional registrations may be required for disciplines such as Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Medical Sciences, depending on the relevant regulatory bodies.

A. Technologist II
- HND, Final Diploma, or B.Sc (Professional Degree)
- Must be registrable with the relevant professional institute
- NYSC certificate required
B. Laboratory Scientist II
- HND, Final Diploma, or B.Sc (Professional Degree)
- Must be registrable with the appropriate institute
- NYSC certificate required

- WASC or SSC
- Three years training and registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
D. Pharmacy Technician

- Three years training and registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
E. Nursing Officer
- N.R.N or N.R.M qualification
- Agricultural Superintendent
- OND or ND in a relevant field
F. Farm Officer II
- HND with PGD in Agriculture OR B. Agric / B. Fisheries
- NYSC certificate required
