The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the schedule for the physical and credential screening of applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The screening exercise will run from 9 March to 18 April 2026 across designated centres in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The announcement was made in Abuja by the PSC Spokesman, Torty Njoku Kalu. According to the Commission, all candidates who completed the online registration must visit the official recruitment portal to confirm their application status and print the required screening documents before attending the exercise.
Required Documents for Screening of Nigeria Police Constable Recruitment
Applicants are required to present printed copies of the following:
- Guarantors Form
- Application Submission Slip
- Invitation Slip
- Credential Screening Form
- Physical Screening Form
Candidates must also present original copies of:
- National Identity Number (NIN) slip or card issued by NIMC
- O’ Level certificate (GCE/SSCE)
- Birth certificate or Declaration of Age
- Certificate of Local Government or State of Origin
Applicants under specialist categories must provide relevant trade test certificates.
All credentials must be neatly arranged in two separate white flat files (originals and photocopies), with recent passport photographs attached. A properly completed and signed Guarantors Form, including passport photographs and photocopies of referees’ identification, must also be submitted.
Candidates are required to appear at the screening venue dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirt, white shorts, and white stockings.

Chairman of the PSC, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), reiterated that the recruitment process is free of charge and warned applicants against engaging with fraudsters.
He assured that the screening will be conducted with strict transparency and accountability.
