The Federal Government, through the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), has opened the application portal for the 2026 Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA). The initiative is designed to equip Nigerian youths and artisans with practical vocational skills that can lead to employment or business opportunities.
The SUPA programme focuses on strengthening Nigeria’s skilled workforce by providing hands-on technical training and recognised certification.
It aims to upgrade the capabilities of existing artisans while also offering opportunities for individuals who want to learn new vocational trades.

2026 Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA) Benefits
Participants selected for the programme will receive:
- Free vocational and technical training at approved training centres
- Nationally recognised certification after successful completion
- Monthly stipend of about ₦35,000 for trainees with at least 90% attendance
- Access to job placement opportunities and entrepreneurship support
- Exposure to business development initiatives
- Opportunity to sit for international certification exams in specialised trades
2026 Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA) Training Areas
The programme covers several practical and technical fields, including:
- Building and construction
- Fashion design and textiles
- Automotive technology
- Agriculture and agro-allied services
- Hospitality and catering
- ICT-related fields such as software development, data science, and cybersecurity
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
1. Be Nigerian youths or artisans
2. Be interested in upgrading existing skills or learning a new vocational trade
3. Be willing to participate fully in the training programme at an approved training centre
