The Heinrich Böll Stiftung (hbs) Nigeria Green Academy 2026 is now accepting applications from young Nigerians passionate about governance, social impact, democracy, human rights, sustainability, and community development.
Organized by Heinrich Böll Stiftung (hbs), the academy provides selected participants with an opportunity to build knowledge, expand networks, develop advocacy skills, and engage with other change-makers working towards a more sustainable and inclusive Nigeria.
About the Heinrich Böll Stiftung (hbs) Nigeria Green Academy 2026 Programme
The Green Academy is an annual leadership and learning programme designed for young Nigerians working across activism, journalism, academia, arts, entrepreneurship, and social development.
Selected participants will participate in interactive sessions including:
- Visioning exercises
- Fireside conversations
- Advocacy and leadership sessions
- Networking opportunities
- Discussions on governance and sustainable development
Successful participants will also join an alumni network with access to future events, mini-grants, funding opportunities, and community support.
Programme Details
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Duration: 5 Days
Period: August / September 2026
Cost: Fully Funded (Travel, Accommodation, and Feeding Covered)
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be between 20–35 years old
- Be civil society activists, journalists, scholars, artists, or social entrepreneurs
- Demonstrate passion for social change and development
- Show innovation, resilience, and commitment to societal impact
- Be available throughout the programme duration
