About the WBG Young Professionals Program
The World Bank and IFC have merged their previous Young Professionals Programs into a single World Bank Group Young Professionals Program.
Selected Young Professionals will join the World Bank Group as professionals and receive exposure to global development work, professional development opportunities and the chance to work with experts across different areas of international development.
The programme recruits candidates with diverse academic and professional backgrounds relevant to the work of the World Bank Group.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Hold at least a master’s degree and have 2–6 years of relevant professional work experience.
- Be a national of a World Bank Group member country.
- Have completed, or be on track to complete, a relevant master’s degree or equivalent qualification before September 1, 2027.
- If pursuing a doctorate, have substantially completed the programme, with all written work submitted before September 1, 2026, subject to the programme’s requirements.
- Demonstrate excellent spoken and written English.
- Meet the World Bank Group’s employment eligibility requirements.
- Not be a current World Bank Group staff member who is ineligible for the programme.
- Not hold an ET or ST contract with the Bank.
JPA participants and eligible former World Bank interns may also apply, subject to the programme’s conditions.
