Applications are now open for the LSETF 3-Month Free Fashion Training Programme, a fully sponsored skills development initiative delivered by OSC College of Fashion in partnership with the IshK Tolaram Foundation, the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), and the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.

The programme is designed to equip unemployed Lagos residents with practical fashion design and garment production skills that can lead to sustainable employment or self-employment.

In addition to free training, participants will benefit from a paid internship, industry exposure, and certification upon successful completion.

Overview of LSETF Free 3-Month Fashion Training Programme 2026

The LSETF Free 3-Month Fashion Training Programme is part of ongoing efforts to reduce unemployment and empower young people in Lagos State with practical, industry-relevant skills.

Over a six-month period, successful applicants will undergo intensive classroom training followed by hands-on workplace experience through a paid internship. The curriculum focuses on developing technical and production skills that are highly valued within the fashion and garment manufacturing industry.

Programme Duration

The programme consists of two phases:

  • Three (3) months of intensive classroom training.
  • At least three (3) months of paid internship with industry partners.

Participants are expected to attend the programme on a full-time basis throughout the training period.

What You Will Learn

Successful participants will receive practical training in key areas of fashion production and garment manufacturing.

Eligibility Requirements

Before applying, interested applicants should ensure they meet all programme requirements.

Applicants must:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
  • Be currently unemployed.
  • Be a resident of Lagos State.
  • Possess a minimum qualification of SSCE/WAEC.
  • Be available full-time from Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) for the entire six-month programme.
  • No previous sewing experience is required.

Please Note: Applicants with Master’s degrees or higher qualifications are not eligible for this programme.

Training Locations

Training will be conducted at any of the following centres in Lagos State:

Centre 1:
11A Aba Johnson Crescent, Harmony Enclave, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos.

Centre 2:
22 Gboyega Kilo Street, Behind Hon-Bethel Schools, Ojodu Grammar School, Lagos.

Successful applicants will receive further information regarding their assigned training location.

  • National Identification Number (NIN) Slip.
