The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of its Application for Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women Recruitment Exercise for Basic Military Training Course 47/2026.
The recruitment is open to suitably qualified Nigerian citizens, and the application is free of charge. Interested applicants are advised to carefully review the requirements before submitting their applications.

Who Can Apply?
Tradesmen/Women
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Be between 18 and 27 years old by 1 March 2027.
- Possess a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or NBAIS.
- Hold relevant ND/NCE qualifications or other applicable trade qualifications, depending on the position.
- Applicants for sports-related positions must provide evidence of professional sporting experience, including certificates and medals where applicable.
Non-Tradesmen/Women
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Be between 18 and 22 years old by 1 March 2027.
- Possess at least 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
- Possess Primary School Certificate and Secondary School Testimonial.

General Requirements
Applicants must also meet the following conditions:
- Minimum height of 1.66m for males and 1.63m for females.
- Be medically, physically and psychologically fit.
- Meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
- Be free from previous criminal convictions by a court of law.

Application closes: 14 October 2026
