The Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in partnership with WEMA Bank, has launched the Skillnovation Training Programme to empower 1,000 Nigerian youths in the FCT with practical, income-generating skills.
This initiative is part of WEMA Bank’s commitment to improving youth employability and supporting entrepreneurship through hands-on training and capacity development.
The programme will be delivered by the Research, Development & Training Initiative (RDTI) at the APDC Group Headquarters in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

It is structured as an intensive, practical training experience where participants will learn through real projects, group activities, and direct mentorship across selected skill areas.
What You’ll Gain

Training Areas
Participants will be trained in one of the following high-demand skills:
- Make-up artistry
- Hair styling and wig making
- Culinary and confectionery
- Digital marketing
- Shoemaking

Who Can Apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
1. Be between 18–35 years old
2. Be willing to fully participate in the training
3. Be ready to open a WEMA Bank account
4. Be based in or able to attend training in Abuja (Gwagwalada)
Note: Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Training Structure
- Start Date: April 7, 2026. Apply before April 5, 2026
- Duration: 1 month per cohort
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Format: 10 cohorts (100 participants per batch)
Each participant will be assigned to one cohort for focused learning. Apply before April 5, 2026.
