Established in 1993, the Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship highlights the organization’s commitment to the educational progress of Nigerian students.
Applications for the scholarship are now open, and deserving students will be chosen as recipients.

Each chosen recipient will receive the Naira equivalent of $250 at the time the award is granted.

Eligibility Criteria for the Egbe Omo Yoruba of Greater Miami Scholarship
1. Must be enrolled in an accredited university or polytechnic in Nigeria.
2. Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 or 3.75 out of 5.0.
3. Must provide the following details:
- The name of the university/polytechnic
- The city and state where the university/polytechnic is located
- Full name as reflected in university/polytechnic records
- Transcript to verify educational performance
- Field of study
- Year of study
- Cumulative GPA
4. Must demonstrate financial need through a written statement (short essay) included with the application.
5. Must include a recommendation letter from an academic staff member familiar with the student’s performance and character. The letter must be signed; unsigned, false, AI-generated, or cut-and-paste signatures will be rejected.

Selection Procedure
The Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship utilizes a detailed selection procedure to ensure that deserving students receive necessary support:
Initial Application Evaluation: All applications and accompanying documents will be carefully reviewed.
Zoom Interviews: Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for virtual interviews via Zoom with the scholarship committee.
Final Selection: The scholarship committee will make the final choice based on candidates’ academic records, financial need, and recommendations.
