Federal Government Opens RH-WAVE 774 Programme for 10 Million Women (Up to N1 Million Each)

The Federal Government has officially commenced applications for the RH-WAVE 774 Women Agro-Value Expansion (WAVE) Programme, a nationwide initiative aimed at empowering 10 million Nigerian women in agriculture and agribusiness.

The programme is structured to reach beneficiaries across all 774 local government areas, with support of up to ₦1 million per participant.

Inline with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the initiative seeks to address economic exclusion, food insecurity, and structural inequality by transitioning women from subsistence farming into structured agribusiness participation across the value chain.

Programme Objectives and Benefits

RH-WAVE 774 is designed to position women as wealth creators, job providers, and contributors to Nigeria’s export growth and food security. Selected participants will receive:

• Access to finance and modern agricultural technologies
• Training in greenhouse farming, post-harvest management, value addition, and financial literacy
• Cooperative membership for collective enterprise growth
• Market linkages at local and international levels
• Export readiness support and ongoing business coaching
• Partnerships with international organisations, including the OIC

The programme aims to strengthen women-led agribusinesses and improve long-term enterprise sustainability.

Eligibility Criteria for FG RH-WAVE 774 Programme for 10 Million Women

The programme is open to:

1. Women farmers, traders, and processors

2. Graduates interested in agribusiness

3. Rural entrepreneurs and market women

4. Single mothers and women with viable agricultural business interests

5. Women across all 774 local government areas are encouraged to apply.
