Enugu State SUBEB Teacher Recruitment 2026 now open. The Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) has commenced the recruitment of 6,580 qualified teachers to improve the quality of basic education across the state’s 17 Local Government Areas.
Successful applicants will be deployed to public primary and junior secondary schools to teach core subjects and support effective learning.

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Deliver quality classroom instruction in their assigned subject.
- Prepare lesson notes and assess students’ academic performance.
- Support effective teaching and learning in public basic education schools.
- Maintain accurate student records and classroom discipline.
- Participate in school activities and professional development programmes.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed., B.Sc. Ed., or B.A. Ed.), or
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in a relevant discipline with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or
- Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in the relevant subject area.
In addition:
Registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), or proof of ongoing TRCN registration, is mandatory.
