The Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has opened applications for several academic and technical vacancies across its Ojo and Epe campuses. In a public notice signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Emmanuel A. Fanu, the university invited qualified candidates to apply for teaching and research positions in the 2025 recruitment for various faculties and centres.
The available roles span the Faculties of Social Sciences, Arts, Education, Management Sciences, and Science, as well as the Centre for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development (CESSED) at Ojo Campus, and the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and School of Agriculture at Epe Campus. Positions advertised include Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, Assistant Lecturer, and Laboratory Technologist.
According to the announcement, candidates are expected to meet specific academic and professional requirements based on the level applied for.
Professors must have at least ten years of post-doctoral experience and a minimum of 25 publications, while Associate Professors require eight years and 20 publications. Senior Lecturers must possess six years of post-doctoral experience with at least 15 publications. Applicants for Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer positions must hold a PhD or Master’s degree with evidence of research potential.

All candidates must also have five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings, a first degree with at least Second-Class Lower Division, and a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
For certain Environmental Sciences positions, membership in relevant professional bodies such as ARCON, CORBON, ESVARBON, QSRBN, SURCON, or TOPREC is mandatory.

Reference letters must be sent directly to the Registrar under confidential seal within one week after the application deadline. The application period will close six weeks from the date of publication.
The university emphasized that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further stages of the recruitment process.
