The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has released key statistics from the first phase of its 2026 recruitment exercise, revealing the scale of interest in the opportunity across Nigeria.
According to the figures released, 606,928 applicants attempted to apply, while 407,659 successfully completed and submitted their applications before the deadline. This means 199,269 applications remained incomplete when the application window closed.
The figures provide an insight into the level of competition applicants may face as NAQS progresses with the recruitment process.

Gender and Age Distribution
The demographic data shows that male applicants made up the larger proportion of candidates:
