About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to primary school pupils and creating lessons that encourage understanding rather than rote learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons suitable for primary school pupils.
- Teach fundamental concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, measurement and geometry.
- Introduce pupils to basic problem-solving techniques.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, exercises and learning activities.
- Use practical examples, games and interactive teaching methods to make Mathematics easier and more enjoyable.
- Assess pupils’ understanding through classwork, assignments, tests and examinations.
Eligibility
Interested candidates should have the appropriate academic background and practical teaching experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree, NCE or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Education or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in a primary school environment.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to make Mathematics understandable and engaging for young learners.
