Job Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of solar home systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing and commissioning solar panels, batteries, DC appliances, wiring, and related equipment.
- Troubleshooting system faults and escalating complex technical issues where necessary.
- Following company installation procedures and safety standards.
- Educating customers on the proper operation and maintenance of installed systems.
- Preparing installation reports and documenting completed projects.
- Providing regular field updates to supervisors and team leads.
- Maintaining proper accountability for tools, equipment, and installation materials.
Eligibility Requirements
Before applying, interested candidates should ensure they meet the following requirements.
Applicants must possess:
1. An OND, HND, or Technical Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
2. A Trade Test Certificate, NABTEB, or an equivalent electrical installation certification.
3. One (1) to three (3) years of experience installing Solar Home Systems or off-grid solar solutions.
4. Good knowledge of:
- DC wiring
- Solar PV modules
- Batteries
- Charge controllers
- Inverters
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and installation manuals.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Residence within or around the preferred job location.
