The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially released the results and performance breakdown of the 2025 recruitment Computer Based Test (CBT), providing long-awaited clarity for over a million applicants across Nigeria.
The update, published between April 20 and 21, 2026, confirms that out of 1,120,491 successfully completed applications, a total of 360,923 candidates were disqualified during the screening phase due to various discrepancies, while 432,935 applications were marked incomplete.
According to the board’s verified data, 872,391 candidates sat for the CBT examination, with performance scores revealing a competitive selection process. A detailed breakdown shows that 221,996 candidates scored between 0–40, while 229,155 scored between 41–60.
Notably, 278,543 candidates achieved scores within the 61–80 range, 108,142 candidates scored between 81–90, and 34,555 candidates ranked among the top performers with scores between 91–100.

The board emphasized that progression to the next recruitment stage will be strictly merit-based, with only the highest-performing candidates from each state advancing.
