The Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS) is the official pay framework for Nigerian civil servants. It defines how salaries progress across 17 grade levels, based on qualifications, experience, and years of service.
With the new minimum wage adjustment, salary scales across key grade levels have been updated to reflect improved earnings and clearer career progression.
New Civil Servants Salary Structure 2026 (CONPSS Grade Level) Overview
Each grade level represents a stage in a civil servant’s career, with higher levels offering increased responsibilities and better pay.
Grade Level 1 (Entry Level):
This is the starting point for workers with little or no experience. Annual salaries range from ₦930,000 to ₦1,002,621, reflecting the new minimum wage baseline.
Grade Level 7 (Mid-Level):
Typically occupied by degree holders and more experienced staff. Salaries range from ₦1,277,667 to ₦1,653,093 per year, showing a significant jump from entry-level earnings.
